Electronics Recycling Events
The annual Saturday event provides free electronics recycling for both BMO Harris Bank customers and non-customers. In addition to the main event location, drop boxes are positioned at specified local BMO Harris branches for community members in neighboring areas. More than 42,771 pounds of computers, cell phones, A/V equipment, scanners, printers, faxes and other electronics have been recycled at this event the past three years, saving landfill space as well as natural resources.
Local branches host document shred events for customers and the community to bring unwanted paper items they would like to have securely destroyed. These shredded documents are then recycled and prevented from entering landfills. Identity protection is a key topic for BMO Harris Bank employees to discuss during the event.
