January 22, 2024 - BMO today announced it has been named one of the "Best Banks of 2024" by GOBankingRates, which analyzes the top financial institutions in the United States each year to help Americans find banks that will help them reach their financial goals. Notably, BMO is recognized in three categories that help customers do more with their cash deposits: Best Checking AccountsBest CD Accounts, and Best High Yield Savings Accounts categories, with the personal finance website calling BMO a "straightforward approach to banking with dependable products" and a "very impressive banking experience."

December 15, 2023 - Accolades for BMO Place, our world-class workplace in Toronto, continue to pour in. BMO Place recently received two significant awards – the 2023 International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Award of Distinction for Workplace Innovation and the 2023 CoreNet Canada REmmy Award for Workplace Excellence.

The DJSI ranks companies’ sustainability performance across three dimensions – governance & economic, environmental and social.  

Empowering communities: BMO receives Outstanding CRA rating for third consecutive time
December 12, 2023 - BMO is proud to announce that we have once again received an Outstanding rating for our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance from January 2020 to December 2022. This is a significant accomplishment – it’s the third consecutive time BMO has earned the highest possible rating, which fewer than 10 per cent of banks have received over the past 10 years.

October 25, 2023 - BMO was recognized by Datos Insights as the winner of the 2023 Impact Innovation Award in Cash Management and Payments for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Analytics for our development of the “Digital Workbench.”

July 11, 2023 - At BMO, we’re committed to fostering an inclusive work environment and a culture that maximizes everyone’s potential for progress. Those efforts are gaining recognition – for the eighth consecutive year, BMO received a top score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index (DEI) and has been named among the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.

April 23, 2023 - Forbes has been recognizing BMO's steadfast commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as one of America's Best Employers for Diversity since 2019. 

Statista, a world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, compiles the annual list from surveying over 45,000 American employees working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. Participants anonymously rate their organizations based on criteria such as gender, age, ethnicity, disability and LGBTQ+ and general diversity.

March 13, 2023 - BMO has been recognized as one of the 2023 World’s Most Ethical Companies for the sixth consecutive year by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

BMO recognized by Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index for eighth year in a row
January 31, 2023 - Today BMO announced it has been included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for the eighth year in a row. The global index recognizes companies committed to gender equality and inclusivity within the workplace and the community, and publicly demonstrates each company’s commitment to equality and advancing women. This year, the index has expanded to include 485 companies across 45 countries and regions.

January 18, 2023 - BMO has been named to Corporate Knights’ 2023 Ranking of the World’s 100 Most Sustainable Corporations as the most sustainable bank in North America for the fourth year in a row. BMO named among Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens
June 29, 2022 - BMO Financial Group has again been named to Corporate Knights’ ranking of Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens. Ranked first among major Canadian banks, BMO received top-quartile scores in board gender diversity, executive diversity, and sustainability pay link. It also received a top-quartile Clean Revenue score driven by its sustainable finance strategy.

May 17, 2022 - BMO has been recognized with one of the most prestigious awards in the world of learning and skills development – the BEST Award from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). February 17, 2021 - For the third consecutive year, BMO Harris Bank's Arizona team members ranked the bank number one for Best Workplace Culture in Banking/Finance in Ranking Arizona, a list of rankings based on a survey  of Arizona residents. Arizona consumers also named BMO the second best large bank in the state, an improvement from the bank's third place ranking in 2019 and eight place in 2018.

June 29, 2020 - BMO Harris Bank has been recognized on Forbes' Best-in-State Banks 2020 list based on a survey of consumers who ranked banks and credit unions on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five key attributes: trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services and financial advice. BMO was among the top five banks in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

June 11, 2020 - BMO Harris Bank has been recognized on Forbes' World's Best Banks 2020 list based on a survey of consumers who ranked banks on key attributes, including trust, fees, digital services and financial advice. Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research firm, to survey more than 40,000 customers in 23 countries on their current and former banking relationships.

Bankrate named BMO Harris a 2020 Top Regional Bank
March 12, 2020 - BMO Harris Bank has been named to Bankrate's 2020 list of the top 10 U.S. regional banks. In its ranking, Bankrate cited the BMO products that offer options for fee waivers and low minimum opening balances, which are examples of how BMO helps its customers grow and alleviate financial anxiety.

February 18, 2020 - BMO Harris Bank ranked number one for Best Workplace Culture in Banking/Finance for the second year in a row in Ranking Arizona, a list of rankings based on a survey of Arizona residents. August 7, 2019 - A BMO Global Asset Management fund that is focused on sustainable investment has been recognized as the Best Smaller Fund in the Global Growth category for 2019. The Money Observer named the BMO Sustainable Opportunities Global Equity Fund as the Best Smaller Fund in the Global Growth category for 2019. With 1-year and 3-year returns of 13.6% and 52.6% respectively the publication noted that the £52 million fund had produced "higher returns with less volatility than many of its competitors."
