Now you can use your smartphone instead of your ATM or debit card to withdraw cash at most BMO Harris ATMs. It's easy and secure2.

This new feature is an alternative to withdrawing money from designated BMO Harris ATMs by using your smartphone without swiping your ATM or debit card.

What you need to get started

  • An active ATM or debit card linked to a BMO Harris Checking, HSA or Money Market account
  • Money in your account
  • The BMO Harris Mobile Banking App on your iPhone® or Android smartphone

Every withdrawal you make using your smartphone is secure2.

  • No personal information is stored in the BMO Harris Mobile Banking App or on your smartphone.
  • You’re protected by the same User ID and Password authentication security used for online banking and mobile banking.
  • Mobile Cash can only be used on a smartphone you have registered for BMO Harris Mobile Banking.
  • QR codes expire after 45 seconds and do not contain any personal information. The system only uses them to identify which ATM is being used during a transaction.
  • If your mobile device is lost, you can call us at 888-340-2265, and we’ll disable your mobile banking account, making Mobile Cash inaccessible to anyone.

Apple PayTM mobile payment solutions

With one touch at a register or from an app, you can make purchases quickly from your Apple device using your BMO Harris debit or credit cards. Follow these three steps to use this easy payment option:

Step 1

Add up to eight of your BMO Harris debit or credit cards to the Passbook ® application program on your Apple device. Learn more at

Step 2

At checkout, place your device above the payment terminal while holding down the Touch IDTM fingerprint identity sensor. If your notification settings allow, your phone will vibrate and beep when the transaction is complete. You can also pay in a participating merchant app with your device.

Step 3

Manage virtual cards in Apple Pay on your device, and track your card activity through BMO Harris Mobile Banking.

We take the security2 of your personal and account information very seriously. Here are some of the ways we ensure your mobile banking activity is safeguarded:

  • You use the same User ID and Password for BMO Harris Online Banking
  • No identifiable account data is stored on your device
  • If your phone is lost or stolen, you can call us 24/7 at 1-888-340-2265 to disable your service and review your recent account activity
  • Your account activity and payments are protected by our Online Guarantees6
